| I chose to do a project at the Mid Hants Railway (The Watercress Line) to shoot a number of images showing its trains, and its personnel going about their duties, in order to convey the purpose of a heritage steam railway showing the way things were in the days of steam. My images are therefore in the nature of a pictorial documentary. The Watercress Line will consider using some of the images in their publicity material and I will hold an exhibition of my images in the near future. Some of the images have already appeared on the Railway’s website and in the Mid-Hants News (the journal of the Mid-Hants Railway). |

| Equitation is a sport which involves both human and an animal working as a team. Like all sporting activities, success requires long periods of training and practice. Confidence, understanding and trust are at the very core of the sport and I hope this is apparent in the pictures I have chosen to present. It doesn't matter whether it is flat racing, jump racing, polo or eventing, the same criteria apply, as they do in the more light hearted events like pony and carriage racing, which is why I included this picture in my panel, like the major professional sports it still requires the same co-operation and trust. I aimed to show the fitness, flexibility, concentration and muscle tones. I hope these come through on the panel which I now present for your assessment. |

I have chosen landscape photography of Southern England for my panel. I have created a website to successfully sell prints and photographs of this region to individuals as well as stock for publication. My passion is for landscapes of Southern England as it has a diverse landscape which has attracted me back to many of the locations time after time over the years during the different seasons. I am attracted to the Southwest with its dramatic seascapes, and the South with its rolling hills and lush vegetation, rivers and lakes. The photographs also show the contrast between the spring colours, summertime mornings, winter rough stormy seas and snow. |
