International Competition with Oberursel

Following our lockdown interclub challenge with UK clubs, the obvious next step was to hold a more international challenge.

For many years Farnborough camera club has links to PhotoCirkle camera club in Rushmoor’s twin town of Oberursel in Germany. Therefore, we approached them to ask if they would like to hold an online competition during the lockdown. They were pleased to participate, so on Thursday June 11th we held the competition.

Each club put together 16 images, with up to 2 per author (Farnborough selected 1 image per author). Chris Palmer kindly agreed to judge the competition for us.

It was a fun competition, with Farnborough overall winning. Oberursel did not traditionally hold many critiqued competitions so this was a very different evening for them, which they enjoyed. We hope to do other joint competitions in the future.
