Guest Speaker – Ric Gillams

On 16 April 26 Ric Gillams gave his talk, A year in Japan.  Ric is an academic who originally went to work in Tokyo for 3 months but ended up staying there and working for a year.  This gave him ample opportunity to travel the length and breadth of Japan, throughout the seasons, and, as a keen photographer and member of Kidlington Camera Club, take lots of shots of everything he encountered.

He covered Japan’s cities, its countryside and its culture with wonderful images accompanied by very knowledgeable and amusing anecdotes.  It was a great evening.
