Guest Speaker – Warren Alani

On 14th May 26 Warren Alani (ARPS, MPAGB, AFIAP, ABPE) gave a talk about his sports photography, suitably titled “Talk Sports”. This was in the form of an array of sports images which were grouped via the sport itself, interspersed with advice on equipment and techniques. Of particular interest was his advice on positioning of the camera for the different sports in order to get the best shots.

The quality of the images was appreciated by the members. Warren explained he wasn’t necessarily looking for the best athlete in an event, but one who displayed the emotion of competing. His images certainly exhibited this in the quality of the capture of expressions and feelings.

Along with the numerous displayed images, Warren brought a number of images along in print form to give a further idea of presentation.

This presentation was greatly enjoyed by the members.
