Spectrum and Heywood Success!

Wednesday evening saw the spectrum and Heywood competitions, hosted by Yately Camera Club and judged by Glyn Edmonds ABIPP AMPA ARPS DPAGB EFIAP/s EPSA APAGB. These competitions are open to members of Farnbrough CC, Yately CC and Aldershot, Farnham & Fleet Camera Club.

The Spectrum competition was on the theme of ‘Action’, with a healthy 37 entries in total. Farnborough camera club did extremely well achieving both 1st, 2nd, and two out of the four highly commended images.

1st ‘Kingfisher beats the Big Fish’ by Basil Groundsell
2nd ‘Surfing through the Stormy Seas’ by Kathryn Graham
And highly commended to ‘This is my Pond’ by Linda Kent & ‘Splashdown’ by Leslie Taylor

The Heywood competition is an open competition (no theme) and had 42 entries. Again Farnborough come away with the top two images and and two highly commended images out of the five awarded

1st ‘Horseshoe Falls, Niagara Sunrise’ by Linda Kent
2nd ‘Hare amongst the grass’ by Vivien Smith
And highly commended to ‘Path into Autumn’ by Kathryn Graham, ‘Calendula and Stamens’ by David Mason

Lesley Taylor presented the respective trophies the following evening to Basil and Linda.
