2025 Mini Marathon – Farnham
On Sunday 27th July a group of members gathered at 10 o’clock in the Waggon Yard car park for the start of the annual ‘mini marathon’. The quest – to take four photographs, corresponding to four themes, over a period of four hours. This year those themes were ‘Blue’, ‘Action’, ‘Glass’ and ‘Together’.
Following the event the members met up in the Lost Boy pub in order to submit their images to Kerry. This involves memory cards, laptops, card readers, and hoping your camera has indeed produced the jpeg images required for entry! Rules are that the image must be straight out of camera – but those who know how to edit in-camera are at an advantage!
Following this there was one last task – to sample the pub lunch on offer. The belly pork is highly recommended!
Scoring of the images was after the event. Kerry correlated everything, and produced some temporary Flickr albums holding the entries. Then it was just a case of each entrant selecting their top three images in each category (not their own, of course). Each contestant then got to choose their overall favourite image.

Top Images
The votes for the favourite image were scattered between the images. There was a a tie for the winning position, although they only managed two votes each showing there was a wide difference of votes cast.
