Welcome Back – New 2025-2026 Season

Thursday the 4th September saw us hold the first meeting of the new season. As usual, the first week was a leisurely affair with the traditional review of last season’s competition images that scored a 10 from the judge. There were a total of 41 images in the collection. After a couple of run throughs of the images, everyone retired to the bar for a bit of a natter to catch up on summer activities. Then the second half of the evening saw a vote take place on the members’ favourite image scoring 10.

It was a close run thing, and the marks were spread amongst the entries, but eventually there were two images that had accrued four votes each, from Wendy Collens and Chris Bean. With a second deciding vote from the members the overall winner was Chris Bean with “Kings Cross Curves”.

The meeting was also notable for being the first hosted by Naomi Ward who has taken over the role of Chair of the club. This is the start of a three year term in this role.
