Farnborough Classic Car Show

For the last two or three years Farnborough and Aldershot Lions have organised a Classic Car Show in Queensmead. There were around 50 vehicles at this Saturdays Show (26th April 2025). Some of the exhibits you may have driven (or wished you had), others were certainly well out of my pocket either when they were new or now. What they all had in common was that they were all cherished by their current owners. Several members of the Club’s Street SIG came along and a few of their images are below. Shows like this provide a great opportunity to practice street portraits as most owners are happy to be photographed with their machines and the spectators are usually too busy looking at the cars to notice you. The cars, bikes and trucks present other challenges like cluttered backgrounds and unwanted reflections. A CPL helps with the latter and I find it best to concentrate on the vehicles details or differential focussing to avoid the background clutter.
