Guest Speaker – Kevin Pigney ARPS, DPAGB, ASINWP
On Thursday 26th February we had a talk from Kevin Pigney titled “Passion for Seascapes, Landscapes and Long Exposures”
This talk covered a set of subjects which are possiby under-represented in our club competitions, so offered an interesting insight into how members could achieve quality images. Starting with a selection of his own images Kevin went on to describe the settings and techniques he used to achieve certain effects. This covered all aspects from planning a shoot, camera settings used, equipment such as tripods and ND or graduated filters, shooting techniques such as exposure bracketing and focus stacking and finally basic post-processing techniques to produce the best results from the images.
This was another very good talk from an engaging speaker with some extremely good example images, and a well presented description of editing techniques.
